To keep your factory cool in the warmer months, you need an efficient industrial cooling solution that your business can rely on. With so many different options available, it can be difficult to know which solution is best for your business and its requirements.
At Heritage, we stock two types of industrial cooling, with different models to suit every need: air conditioning and evaporative cooling.
Air conditioning
We stock, supply, and install a range of Fujitsu air conditioning units to suit every factory – most of which come with a 5-year warranty. These units are quiet, unobtrusive, and designed to run efficiently. They also come in a range of different options.
Ceiling cassette
Large, open plan spaces – like factories – can benefit from ceiling cassette air conditioning units. These units are very quiet and discreet; the main body of the unit is hidden in the ceiling.

Ceiling cassettes can be positioned in the centre of a factory space (and at multiple intervals), giving plenty of cooling coverage. The cool air is dispersed evenly from the unit, ensuring everyone feels the benefit.
Wall-mounted
Another space-saving option, wall-mounted air conditioning units are also a great option for factory cooling, and come in multiple sizes and shapes. If your workspace is heavily populated with equipment and work stations – which many factory floors are – wall-mounted air conditioning units help keep things cool without cluttering the limited space available.
The way your factory is laid out will help determine whether a wall-mounted unit – or perhaps a combination of wall-mounted and ceiling cassette units – are the best option for your factory. This is also something we can work out for you in our free site surveys – all at no extra cost.

Evaporative cooling
A lesser-known but fantastic cooling option, evaporative cooling is ideal for factories. Highly energy-efficient, evaporative cooling works by using water evaporation to naturally cool down interior spaces.
Heritage stock and install evaporative cooling units from leading brands, including Coolair and Breezair – all of which have a number of useful features which factories benefit from.
1. Better air quality
Evaporative cooling units draw fresh air from outside of your building, rather than continually recirculating the same stale air. This significantly improves the internal air quality of your workplace – which reduces the spread of viruses, and hugely benefits those with respiratory issues or allergies.

2. Keep doors and windows open
Unlike some other systems, evaporative cooling maintains its efficiency even when doors and windows are open. This is because the unit is continually drawing in fresh, outdoor air.
If your business operates from a factory with large bay doors, you can keep them open for extended periods without worrying about cool air escaping your building.
3. Energy saving
Supremely energy-efficient by design, evaporative cooling units use up to 90% less energy than other traditional cooling systems.
This is better for the environment, better for energy consumption – and will save your business a significant amount on your energy bill too.
4. Cheaper maintenance
Commercial evaporative cooling units have a long lifespan, and regular maintenance from qualified heating and cooling professionals – like Heritage – will keep the system running efficiently for years to come.
Having fewer moving parts to go wrong also means that evaporative cooling is simpler – and therefore cheaper – to maintain than many other cooling systems.
