Modern, robust industrial heating systems are designed to last for a very long time – but they won’t last forever. Eventually, your business’s heating system will need replacing. Read this blog to discover the telltale signs to watch out for, so you can purchase a new industrial heating solution before your current one fails.

Signs your industrial heating system needs replacing

1.      It’s outdated

If your heating system is very old, you may want to think about replacing it with a more modern unit. Older units require far more maintenance to keep them running smoothly, with costly repairs needed as the unit becomes more outdated.

And, no matter how well-maintained it is, older heating systems will develop small issues that build up over time, impacting the performance of your heating. Older units are also far less energy efficient and will cost more on your electricity bills.

2.      It’s expensive to run

As mentioned, older heating systems tend to cost more to run as they use more energy. However, this can also be the case for newer heating systems that need replacing. If you notice your heating system is suddenly costing more to run than it once did, even though you are only using it as frequently as you ever did, your system may be losing efficiency.

New industrial heating solutions are designed with energy efficiency in mind, guaranteeing effective heating alongside lower energy costs.

3.      It’s become noisy

If your heating is rattling, creaking, or just generally making more noise than it used to whilst running, it’s an indication there’s something wrong with the unit.

Be sure to get the unit checked out by a qualified heating engineer. They will be able to advise you if the problem is fixable, and whether it would be more cost effective to do the repair or replace the unit entirely.

4.      It’s become faulty

If your industrial heating has become prone to faults, costs of repairs can quickly add up. Some issues can be solved with a simple repair, but if it’s an expensive repair your business might benefit from a new unit instead.

Faulty heating units will also reach a point where they can no longer be relied upon to work consistently. Nobody wants to get to work on a cold day, only to discover the heating doesn’t work (again!). Get ahead of the issue by investing in a new unit.
