What is Humidity?
When water heats up and evaporates to the surrounding environment, the subsequent water in the air will make it humid. Relative humidity is a term that refers to the ratio between the levels of water in the air and the maximum amount of water the air can hold at the current temperature.

Anything between 40% and 70% when it comes to relative humidity will not impact your employees’ thermal comfort. However, values outside of these can. It’s imperative to have measures in place that can decrease humidity in the workplace, then, which often take the form of air conditioning systems that can provide relief against excess moisture in the air.
The benefits that come from this decrease are invaluable. High levels of humidity, such as more than 80%, mean a lot of water vapour in the air, which in turn means that sweat cannot properly evaporate – and sweating is the mechanism by which bodies regulate temperature and reduce heat.
