Using around 90% less energy than traditional air conditioning, evaporative cooling systems are the ideal solution for businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

At Heritage, we stock high quality commercial evaporative cooling solutions from top brands. Incredibly energy efficient and easy to install, you’ll receive more cooling power for your money with evaporative cooling. Evaporative cooling systems improve the indoor conditions without driving up energy consumption.

Evaporative cooling is perfect for a wide range of working environments: factories, warehouse, garages, large commercial buildings, sports facilities, computer server rooms, offices – the list goes on and on.

Heritage are proud to be Seeley Gold Approved Partners, fully approved sellers of top evaporative cooling brands Coolair and Breezair.

How does evaporative cooling work?

Evaporation is a natural process of cooling – it’s the reason we feel cold after climbing out of a swimming pool. Evaporative cooling works by drawing in fresh air from outside the building and extracting hot air from inside. Water is pumped through a series of cooling pads and this air is then passed through them, causing evaporation. This rapidly cools the air, which is then distributed throughout the building.

The beauty of an evaporative cooling system is that it is constantly removing hot air from inside – preventing your workplace from getting stuffy and staff from overheating.

Create a healthy working environment for your staff

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to businesses becoming more aware of how safe their working environments are. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends ventilation as a first-line strategy for reducing the spread of viruses throughout an indoor environment.

Instead of recirculating stale air, an evaporative cooling system brings in fresh air from outside. The spread of viruses inside is extremely low, making evaporative cooling ideal for use in a heavily populated environment.

Evaporative cooling units are proven to improve the overall air quality of a space, and reduce the effects of respiratory illnesses such as asthma.

Reduce your carbon footprint and save money on your energy bill

Evaporative cooling systems use less electricity, reducing your business’ carbon footprint and reducing your energy bill to boot. Whether you’re running a busy factory with working machinery, or an office full of people and computers, all these things generate an enormous amount of heat. Evaporative cooling systems extract the warm area from inside and replace it with cool, fresh outside air – all whilst using minimal energy.

Our evaporative cooling systems also do not contain chemical refrigerants that contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer, unlike some traditional air conditioning systems.

Interesting things to know about evaporative cooling

Spot cooling

Some areas of your building might get especially hot – for example, because of a furnace, or machinery, or a large number of people. Evaporative cooling can be programmed to dramatically cool and reduce the humidity of these areas, making them comfortable to work in.

Open windows and doors

Unlike traditional air conditioning systems, it is beneficial to keep doors and windows open when running an evaporative cooling system. They provide a steady supply of fresh air drawn from outside, rather than recirculating the same, stale air.

It cleans the air

All the fresh air drawn in from outside is cleaned as it’s passed through the system. Any pollutants or impurities like pollen are also reduced, massively improving the air quality inside your building.
